I am an industrial designer and product developer working at the intersection of design, brand, and implementation. My clients span Health & Beauty, Housewares, Toy, and Fitness across domestic and international markets.

I previously served as Chief Creative Officer at Green Toys, Vice President of Design at Perfect Fitness, Vice President of Research and Design at Wham-O, and Managing Director of IDEO San Francisco. I am a Full Professor of Industrial Design at California College of the Arts in San Francisco, teaching design practice, business for startups, systems thinking, and sustainable product innovation. My students continually inform and challenge my own work, and I’ve had the privilege of teaching more than a thousand emerging designers.

I hold degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Brown University and Industrial Design from Art Center College of Design. My work is included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and has received recognition from IDSA (Gold), Oprah Best Of, New Beauty Awards, and the IDSA Merit Award.

Outside of work, I spend time with my incredible family, play harmonica with friends, and enjoy skiing and backpacking whenever I can get into the mountains.
